Please join Nathan Runkle, Executive Director of Mercy For
Animals, and Ohioans for Humane Farms at the Columbus Signature Gathering
Kick-Off event to hear how YOU can get involved in this important campaign!
Ohioans
for Humane Farms is spearheading a new, citizen-backed ballot initiative to
prevent some of the cruelest factory farming practices in Ohio. The measure will require the Ohio
Livestock Care Standards Board to adopt certain minimum standards that will
prevent animal cruelty, improve health and food safety, support family farms
and safeguard the environment throughout the state of Ohio.
With
more than 600,000 signatures needed to get on the ballot, we need the help of
a lot of volunteers. While our opposition will have big money contributors
and plenty of paid field staff, we're going to rely on you—our supporters—to
help us get there.
For
more information and to RSVP, please visit Ohioans For Humane Farms.
